Michael: Key Skills in Dealing with Service Delivery, Understanding the Needs of Businesses & Mentoring IT Managers

Principal Consultant at ATG Connect, Michael’s work involves acting as virtual IT Director to ensure IT teams are providing value to their businesses. He works with organisations over long periods of time until they are ready to employ an IT Director full time.

Michael’s key skills lie in dealing with service delivery, understanding the needs of businesses, offering advice on resources and mentoring IT Managers. In addition to an MBA, Michael’s breadth of experience covers numerous sectors and demonstrable success in assisting a variety of companies with their IT requirements. Some of his career highlights include:

• Working at ATG Connect, Michael provided long term support to SMEs who required their IT teams to deliver more value through IT governance and business alignment.
• Handled the implementation of ITIL, put into place programme management and dealt with budget management whilst at ATG Connect.
• Acted as Trustee & Treasurer whilst at Home Start Westminster, preparing the monthly Treasurer’s report, providing advice and support on all technology issues.
• Whilst working as an Independent Consultant over the past three years, Michael has taken on Interim IT Director roles and dealt with IT strategy and planning, financial modelling and business planning, in addition to project management.
