With over 25 years of post-graduate experience covering marketing and software engineering, for the past 10 years Edward has focused on consulting. His varied sector experience encompasses the advertising industry, market research, experience of the education sector, local authority experience and consulting at IBM and GEIS.

Edward has skills in business analysis and project management techniques including 6 Sigma, UML, TQM, DSDM, Prince and working knowledge of many standards and disciplines such as ISO 9000, IIP and CMMI. To date, Edward can count the following achievements among his career highlights:

  • Whilst working for the British Educational Communications Agency, reporting on a failed project, making recommendations for running it successfully.
  • Leading the change management programme, centralising all content management and changing the emphasis from building websites to a communications function.
  • Instigating an IT/IS steering group to manage enterprise architecture and prepared ITTs, setting up procurement of systems through the OGC procurement process, negotiating the purchase of an ECMS.
  • Authoring an Enterprise Architecture and setting up the governance, procedures and authored standards for development and project management.
  • At BMG Research, designing and developing a suite of tools for online research activity for collection and presentation of research data – and developed products for the E-government markets.
