Andy is an accomplished Director with extensive senior-level business-to-business sales and marketing experience across a number of sectors and corporate cultures including construction materials, capital equipment, utilities, facilities management and business services. Skilled at restructuring and revitalising sales-driven organisations to deliver durable profitable growth. He has practical expertise in bid preparation, presentation and negotiation, often involving contracts with long sales cycles.

A proven, confident and effective board-level leader, Andy is able to take a ‘hands-on’ approach and make an immediate impact. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), alongside a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics. Among his career highlights, Andy has:

  • Operated at Business Unit Board level with responsibility or a £50 million division, working with Speedy Hire Plc.
  • Devised and implemented management information ‘dashboards’ providing timely and accurate measurement of sales & marketing activities, thereby ensuring enhanced performance and control, at Speedy Plc and Aggreko Plc
  • Implemented an integration plan following a £60m acquisition, extracting operational & financial efficiencies and ensuring continued growth.
  • Created and delivered staff development plans after assessing and matching people to changing business strategies at Mercuri Urval Consulting.
  • Been responsible for recruiting and then developing a team of Major Account Managers and Area Sales Managers for Aggreko Plc, to ensure profitable business with national and international clients.
  • Whilst working with Aggreko Plc, managed the Central Marketing and Telemarketing resources to support the efforts of the business plan.
  • Created a 12 strong team of sales professionals whilst working for Vibroplant Plc, who contributed around 25% of total company revenues.
  • Demonstrated his extensive expertise when implementing an ERP-integrated Customer Relationship Management system to improve customer contact management.
  • Shown success when analyzing future requirements concerning a range of market sectors, including Facilities Management, Utilities, Telecommunications, Process Manufacturing, Construction and Public Sector.
