Bernie has 20 years experience specialising in business change, process improvement, quality and programme/project management and Six Sigma, working in financial services, telecoms and a variety of industry sectors across Europe and the US.

A Six Sigma Master Black Belt who has held both line management and senior consultancy positions, Bernie’s wide ranging expertise within the corporate arena provide him with an exemplary foundation from which to offer strategic advice and direction, while his engineering/IT and telecoms background gives him invaluable insight in today’s technology driven world.

As a Vice President in a global US bank, Bernie was responsible for managing IT & Communications project delivery, in charge of 300+ projects at any one time.

  • Implemented a major project management improvement programme using Six Sigma in a global bank’s IT department – producing savings of £3.4 million and 95% on-time project delivery.
  • A Six Sigma project to develop and implement a global recruitment strategy for a multinational transport engineering company.
  • Developed a Customer Contact Strategy for a FTSE-100 pharmaceuticals company delivering increased sales of 5%.
  • Reviewed and improved the Vendor Contract Management function for a global investment management firm’s technology services, producing savings in excess of £250k per annum.
  • Reviewed Web-hosting service requirements for the eBusiness department, producing savings in excess of £200k p.a. in Phase 1 and $400k in Phase 2.
  • Development of business & technology infrastructure and support processes for a e-commerce-based insurance products suite.
  • Set up and managed a 5 strong Project Office for the EMEA IT department of a top 5 global bank, controlling projects in excess of $100 million.
