Our client manufactures and supplies machined and fabricated components for major OEMs of diagnostic imagery plus the worldwide technological, science and research communities.

The job role: To develop, plan and implement the supply chain strategy across the site whilst effectively and efficiently managing the purchasing, planning, material control and distribution functions.

Reporting to: Operations Director

Rewards: £35 – £40k basic

Location: Cambridgeshire

Key tasks:

  • Develop and facilitate the implementation of short, medium and long-term supply chain strategy in line with the business model and three-year business plan
  • Manage and develop the Purchasing, Production Planning, Transport and Material Control functions
  • Implement commodity planning, supplier business reviews and performance meetings
  • Develop, manage and control the Sales and Operation Planning process
  • Manage and develop the production planning processes
  • Develop and manage functional budgets
  • Provide monthly management supply chain reports and attend Senior Management Team meetings

Start date: ASAP

Candidate profile:

  • Must have at least two years experience in a supply chain role with exposure to the purchasing and / or planning aspect of the supply chain
  • Must have experienced in dealing with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Must be a skilled production and capacity planner
  • The ideal candidate is likely to come from an automotive, precision machining or fabrication environment
